Is Christmas a time you look forward to each year? Do you anticipate all the glitter, the Christmas tree decorations, the songs, and the laughter?
It's sad, but some even this year as in years past, do not feel what you may be feeling.
There may be the death of a loved one, the separation of a marriage, a loss of a job, or just, life is hard this year.
I know what that can be like, as I believe many readers of this " encouraging blog" may be feeling.
There is no doubt about it: life can be hard. It can produce struggles, heartbreaks, and even tragedy.
So let us explore what we as humans living in a mixed-up world can help you with this Christmas.
Christmas is and should be a glorious time of the year. When you have a family to celebrate with, or you have your church to be lit up with beautiful lights, and candles, and some even have the manager scene on display. It's inspiring to sing the old traditional songs of Christmas.
But, I'm writing this blog today in hopes that you will see the REAL meaning of this festive time we have called Christmas. It's okay to show your love and give gifts to loved ones if in your heart you show your love to the one that made Christmas possible.
This is the title of a Christmas song, and it speaks volumes to this reader.
" Jesus left his home for Christmas.".. he left his Royal diadem. When he left his home for Christmas. It was to give the GREATEST GIFT of all. Jesus came to bring redemption to the sinner's heart. For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23.
We needed a Savior, Jesus, God in the flesh became that for us. By trusting in his death and resurrection on Calvary, we are made new. Just as if we had never sinned. Is that beautiful or not?
So, this Christmas, remember, " when Jesus left his home for Christmas," he gave you the Greatest gift of all. Free forgiveness for your stained sinned heart. Accept that gift. He gave it, but you must accept it. Merry Christmas because of Jesus. He loves YOU!
