I will start by asking, " How is your day going? " Then as you want to answer me, I say, "Yes, I know, mine as well."
If we will be honest on this question, I think many at this season of life we find ourselves in will say, " when will this nightmare end?"
I'm using this title NO MORE...because I found it so fascinating and inspiring as it was used at my husbands funeral.
I, like my departed husband of 58 years was, and I am, getting tired of all the chaos we find in our older lives. After all, we enjoyed the " good old days." And I mean they were, so unlike todays upside down world. Gas , twenty-one cents a gallon. Mc Donald hamburger twenty-five cents. WOW!
As the pastor spoke of this life now departed, ( well, actually the scriprure teaches that as a Christ believer, we really never die, we will live forever.) But he was comparing all the life chaos we go through, now it is finally over for that child of God.
He spoke, saying, No More pain, No More heartbreaks, No More struggles in trying to take care of the life altering changes. On and On, NO MORE!
It took me back to how my husband would say, "trying to compete in the business world, now is harder than ever before. I'm taking all this medications just to keep living, and his biggest one was: I can't believe you have to drink that much water everyday!
Don't tell me the farmers out in the fields all day, drank that much water, and they were fine.
Yes, he had a point. Life after you go into your eighties, gets like, no, I'm ready to see my Savior.
Even the apostle Paul in scripture had this on his mind. Phillipians 1:23 "I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, which it is far better. or living and serving Christ, gaining rewards, and giving Him glory." KJV.
I know that we all have a beginning and an end. The day of our departure is settled in heaven . Ephesians 1:11 relates to that. " You are immortal until God's purpose for you is complete."
May I stay content , serving, loving, prasing God , until my Lord and Savior says, It's your time now. Let there be No More of this chaos here, come and enjoy the glories of heaven, your real home, for eternity and evermore.
Be sure you are His child by faith in Jesus, God's son dying on the cross for your sins.
Then you can rejoice in the NO MORE! You just gotta love it, when you are the child of the great I AM!.
For the King and His Kingdom: -
Come home my child, welcome to your eternal home. Absent in the body, present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
