As I write this blog for you my friends, I start with ; if you are a Christ Believer, a child of the King by new birth in Jesus as your personal Savior, then you are very aware that he tells us in scriprure; " In this world you will have tribulations". John 17:33.
We that totally understand that verse can relate. I don't know about you, but I feel like I have had my abundant share tribulations from my childhood even up into my older years.
I always seem to be the caretaker of siblings, the outcast and dreams lost.
I know sometimes we think back on these tribulations and we start to decide which one we went through was considered our worse.
But, do you realize when we do that we also see that even though we thought the one we put as our number one, even that one, we came thorough in victory after all.
That's what I want to talk to you today about. The Bible is clear in so many places that sorrow,( weeping may endure for the night) but joy comes in the morning. Psalms 30:4
I know, you say, " well I went to bed weeping and it's morning and I still see my problem."
If you know your scriptures then you will understand that God is working behind the scenes on that very problem. We humans expect instant coffee, instant relief, instant fast internet.
Most will stand in front of their microwave and cry out, " Hurry up".
But, because God has a perfect plan for what we're going through, he makes every circumstance to be working together for good. You know Romans 8: 28 and that's excactly what it promises. "We know that ALL things work for good for those that love God and are called according to his purpose. You may not see it yet, but it's coming. God's promises, He always keeps. He has kept every past covenant promised in the Bible.
He will keep the ones yet to come.
I personally could not carry on with my latest sorrow , the passing of my loving husband of 58+ years without that Scripture of hope. 1 Thessaloians 4:12-18
"I would not have you ignorant, brethen, concerning those that sleep IN Christ, that we sorrow not , even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him."
Do you know it goes on with this promise that the Lord will decend with a shout, a trump, those dead in Christ will rise first and we that believe will be caught up to meet them in the air.
If that's not a HOPE, what would be? I will see my husband again. If you have lost a loved one, if you have that hope, so will you.
Jesus turns our sorrows into Hope that is far above all we can imagine.
So, don't give up! He will turn your sorrow into HOPE. On the day you least expect it, your hope will break through the blue. As the song says. " Some Glorious morning Sorrow will cease, some Glorious mornig all will be peace, heartaches all ended, battles all won, heaven will open, Jesus will come." Be ready for that, my friends.
